It's never a good thing when any of these events happen at the doctor's office:

1. The doctor says, "Wow."
2. You receive a shot in the ass.
3. Your doctor fetches another doctor, insisting, "You've gotta see this."

It's particularly not good when all of these things happen within the very same office visit.

Things are getting better. I no longer want to peel my skin off. Turns out I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was on last week (my course of the buggers ended on Sunday, but I guess delayed reactions aren't uncommon).

I was covered in bees rash! By the time I got to the doc's, even my tongue was swelling a bit...hence the shot. They were astounded by the degree of rashy goodness I had to offer. I have other, equally fun, drugs in my system for the next several days (steroids and antihistamines) and a great big note in my chart to never again take a "quinone" drug.

The spots are beginning to fade, but my presentation to a client this afternoon should still be pretty interesting. Yes, I'm at work.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better -- my eyes were not open enough to notice whether the spots had faded this morning.

Of course you can show the client just how creative a copywriter/strategist you are by coming up with an interesting explanation for the spots. I'm voting for something like "faerie hickies."

They're not really faded yet, but they are less...three-dimensional, I guess.

You were so sound asleep when I came back to get dressed that I refrained from advising you to "avert your eyes from the South."

I like the idea of calling them fairy hickies. Except they're more like the kind from fairies in Laurell K. Hamilton's books...

Na, when I got up (a little after 7.30) I figured you were still in the bathroom. I was beyond astounded to discover that you were already gone.

And the truly disturbing thing is that that idea came indirectly from Dream #1 of night before last. But who is LKH?

While you might be able to relate, the protagonist in her first series, Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter, apparently does not get laid for several *books*. And then it's all angsty and...well, gothic, I hear (haven't read them yet, myself).
