There's only one cookie variety left to complete the little gift baskets we're making for local friends/families this year: Something Colorful. I have a round of sugar cookie dough still remaining, so some will have thumbprint/jewelbox cookies with strawberry preserves -- easy, colorful, and tasty. I sort of wanted to do pinwheel cookies, but that might just be a level of effort I won't reach this year. Also, I can't find the recipe I loved, which involved VODKA (an ingredient that did something magical with the dough). Why bother with anything else, right? Anyway...after that, it's cranberry bread all the way, baby.
