distractions
Mar. 16th, 2010 06:48 pmThis weekend's bronchitis has morphed into pneumonia now, so I've got newer, stronger drugs and orders to not to much of anything. That's not a limitation I cope with easily...even with the benefit of cough syrup containing codeine. So. Distractions.
How about some garden planning? I don't think I'll have the time for a lot of gardening this summer, since we'll be working mostly on the inside of the house in Gardner, but Kira Deara has specifically requested a "butterfly garden" and I think it might be do-able.
There's a raised bed already framed in and mulched on the west side of the house, with nothing much in it at the moment. I think the soil tends to be quite damp over there, so perhaps a combination of rain garden and butterfly garden attributes might be nice.
As a bonus, there are already two oak tree saplings on the property -- one is pin oak and one is red oak. Whee!
Thinky, thinky.
