The weekend followed a general pattern of busy mornings, afternoons of Taking Care of Business (with a Bonus! Chest! X-ray! for [livejournal.com profile] princessboredom), and then slacktastic evenings in which my sink wasn't at all shiny. Not so bad. Also, not so newsworthy, when it comes to making LJ updates. Except for the Other Nikki's hadfasting, which is her story to tell and not mine, since I didn't *actually* punch anybody. :)

It's looking like Thanksgiving is going to be very quiet for me. The girls will be enjoying some extended time with [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn and company; [livejournal.com profile] diermuid's clan will be journeying to Arkansas; and Jackly Wackly (the puppy) will be getting fixed on that Friday morning. I have a very aggressive plan to eat turkey pot pie with some nummy (yet much-maligned) jellied cranberry.

There are a bazillion little things I could do. Or, you know, NOT. I'm already counting down the days!

I would remind you of sewing projects ::cough cough gambeson cough:: but I think a bit of doing nothing would be great. I've been enjoying about a year of that now... it's just now starting to get old. ;-)

Besides, I think we measured that fabric back when Bryce was still Maggie-sized.

Yes, we measured that a very long time ago. I found the fabric, very carefully folded and stored, when I got those boxes down again the other week. YES...sewing projects are definitely on the brain. :)

Yay sewing! You are, of course, welcome at our place for Gaia's Orphans' Thanksgiving (http://gaiacommunity.org/thanksgiving), since everybunny's running away from you. :)

There are already some Very Nice Folks wanting to make sure I don't spend the holiday alone, even though The lack of "A Very Family Thanksgiving" doesn't really show up as a sad thing in my emotional landscape right now.

That isn't to say I won't miss the people running away (because it's all about memememememe, right?), just that I know they'll be back. Life is long; holidays are where you create them.

Still, I very much appreciate the invitation, honey. :)
