saffronhare: (Bunny Crossing)

Last night must have been my turn (and the baby's turn too). She woke up screaming, and woke me up. I lay in bed for a minute...and when I finally got up, the clock said 3:34 a.m. Which means I woke up at 3:33 a.m.

So, for those of you following along at home, the message I'm trying to decipher reads something like this now:

Blah blah blah tidal wave blah blah leadership blah.

You get the idea.

A positive note is that I think the 333 messages are simply taps on the shoulder to get me/us to pay attention, not the message in itself.

I've also noticed that for the last few days I've seen a bunny every morning and evening -- it's making its way out of my yard for the day and coming home for the night about the same time I have been doing the same thing this week. While I know it's ridiculous to think it's there just for me, it feels vaguely reassuring. Like I know somebody is riding the tidal wave with me.

In any case, I get a little jolt of pleasure every time I see it...and for that I'm grateful.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Of course you did.

Because *I* just sent [livejournal.com profile] chaosdruid an email this morning saying I didn't wake up until 3:50 this morning, so maybe it was done...

Did I mention, "Ha!"?

Yep, and I responded with a the fact that I slept blissfully through the night (a nice change for me this week). Glad to hear it was someone else's turn, but sorry that the baby wasn't happy.

I like the interpretation that the Godden are giving us a thumbs up for the DSG, though. I guess that means I should really be working on material for my next class, eh?

Okay, I'm not nearly the seer that Saff is, but it seems to me that if you get omens until you 'get' them, then we should work with this hypothesis for now.

If we all make it through the night tonight without a 3:33 wake-up call, can we agree this was probably it? If not, back to the drawing board...what do you think?

Well, if you're going to get scientific about it. That's probably a good plan. I'm hoping to sleep through, but if not we can compare notes at [livejournal.com profile] terross50's place.

Ok, just had another flash of thought (and it's good to catch them as they go by)...
On Tuesday, whilst I was out walking during break I saw a red-winged blackbird (beautiful one too!). It flew ahead of me and landed on one of the pylons lining the road (I was on the road to the shipping/receiving bays). It stayed there chirping at me until I had caught up and was standing there watching it. It then flew off to the southwest and landed on yet another pylon and stayed there until I caught up to it again.
I meant to ask about blackbirds as symbols at class that evening but got sidetracked. I was just intrigued by the way it stayed there, almost as if it was waiting for me. Any thoughts?

So, last night guess what time I woke up at???

4:33 am

It could probably have something to do with the fact that I didnt' get to bed until nearly 1 am, or it could just be a pizza. At this point I'll vote for pizza.

I'll go with pizza too. I didn't go to bed until 2am, but I woke up several times regardless; just none of them happened to be in the fated hour.

And I suppose it might be important to point out that your post was made at 8:33 LJ time, which translates to... wait for it...3:33pm.

HA!

::snicker::

well, since I'm typically only sleeping at 3:33 am, I should be doing something important at 3:33 pm.
