Very funny.
Apr. 30th, 2004 11:18 amLast night must have been my turn (and the baby's turn too). She woke up screaming, and woke me up. I lay in bed for a minute...and when I finally got up, the clock said 3:34 a.m. Which means I woke up at 3:33 a.m.
So, for those of you following along at home, the message I'm trying to decipher reads something like this now:
Blah blah blah tidal wave blah blah leadership blah.
You get the idea.
A positive note is that I think the 333 messages are simply taps on the shoulder to get me/us to pay attention, not the message in itself.
I've also noticed that for the last few days I've seen a bunny every morning and evening -- it's making its way out of my yard for the day and coming home for the night about the same time I have been doing the same thing this week. While I know it's ridiculous to think it's there just for me, it feels vaguely reassuring. Like I know somebody is riding the tidal wave with me.
In any case, I get a little jolt of pleasure every time I see it...and for that I'm grateful.

If we all make it through the night tonight without a 3:33 wake-up call, can we agree this was probably it? If not, back to the drawing board...what do you think?

Date: 2004-04-30 01:46 pm (UTC)On Tuesday, whilst I was out walking during break I saw a red-winged blackbird (beautiful one too!). It flew ahead of me and landed on one of the pylons lining the road (I was on the road to the shipping/receiving bays). It stayed there chirping at me until I had caught up and was standing there watching it. It then flew off to the southwest and landed on yet another pylon and stayed there until I caught up to it again.
I meant to ask about blackbirds as symbols at class that evening but got sidetracked. I was just intrigued by the way it stayed there, almost as if it was waiting for me. Any thoughts?

It could probably have something to do with the fact that I didnt' get to bed until nearly 1 am, or it could just be a pizza. At this point I'll vote for pizza.
