Spent the first half of the day transporting children to various sporting practices -- swimming for

princessboredom and gymnastics for the other two -- and teaching gymnastics classes.

After a quick dash home and consumption of several grilled cheese sandwiches (with ketchup), they were ready to welcome Kira Deara's buddy for a play date. Our guests brought homemade cookies, which visiting mom and I shared over tea. Very nice. The girls built a fort. It was a little alarming, when they kept coming out and announcing what construction material they'd need next. First, it was Scotch tape. Then, it was masking tape. And then more sheets. Those were fine, but I really had to put my foot down when they asked for the dining room table.

Last night's play date with Fiona's friend was a lot of fun. Boy, oh, boy...little girls sure can eat a lot of pizza! And I'm pretty sure we had ~~more~~ enough Webkinz in the house ~~than...well, I don't know what. But there were a LOT of Webkinz around, take it from me.~~ to open an online zoo! [Thanks,

Both friends will be welcome to visit again. I think my dinner concept for tonight and breakfast concept for tomorrow will allow me to put off grocery shopping until Sunday. For now, I think I'm going to shower off some of that gym chalk and have a quick nap.
