Wow. I kind of can't believe my baby is getting to be such a big kid.* She says she "really feels six now." (grin)

This daughter has been surprising from the very start. True to form, she opened her birthday cards in a very distinctive manner this morning: She dismantled them. No rips in the paper; no pulling up the flap. Nope. She took the envelopes apart at the seams.

The special day started with a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday as a wake-up call and breakfast waffles on sparkly flower plates...and will feature a visit from Grandy at school (to read to her class) and a dinner with

agrnmn at which she gets to be "the decider" about what they eat, with no sharing required.

*In fact, it's possible her two front teeth will grow in before her big sister's do, which could be a serious point of contention. Ah, well.
