Yesterday, our intrepid (and mildly vain) heroine discovered that volumizing mousse is not a Great Idea with her hair. As if we need more volume. FLOOF, is what we had. Sheesh.

Today, the hair straightening thing was so weird that the hair had to be wetted down for a soft reboot of sorts. Perhaps somebody with more skill and a lot of time would have manifested something more successful, but that somebody is Not Me.

Live and learn, right? ::sigh::

I like my hair. It's good hair. I just really suck at *styling* it, and seem to have to re-learn certain style principles every once in a while. There are worse things. :)

closer_to_fine is excellent at boosting one's abilities in this arena and making you look fab while it's happening. Unless it involves a pony tail, hair clip or something vaguely 1940's inspired I'm mostly lost as to "modern" hair beauty. I v. little understanding of appropriate products or how to use them.
