saffronhare: (Schmoobly Puppy)

Last night, I had a dream. The only part worth repeating is that I was introduced to a Clumber Spaniel of surpassing schmoobliness.

I simply MUST have one. Nevermind the Rex bunnies; nevermind the Labradoodles. Bring me Clumber Spaniels!

ETA: Also. I will certainly need one of those nifty Roomba things with the pet-sensor wonderfulness. (See today's woot.com for details, since I lack the link-fu today.)

I actually squeaked out loud when I came across it in a Google image search this morning.

As a side note, Clumber Spaniel is the first image search I could recall that didn't seem to have any sexual content in it at all, even about 17 pages in.

Well, that's reassuring.

Dogs hate that. I have it on good authority.

One can almost hear the clumbers thinking the bunny ears push things just a bit too far.

Maybe Fractal does. Hastings is pretty much okay with any sort of humiliation as long as he gets a cookie.

Fractal cuts out the delay of treat and just immediately eats any sort of clothing or accessory one attempts to put on him. They somehow don't believe this at the groomers'. And then they have to call me, all embarrassed, saying "Um... your dog ate the little bandanna we put on him..."

I bet accessories interfere with his mad teleportation skillz.

Yes, well. Hastings is...er, exceptional.

"Here, Hastings, wear this hat so I can take a picture."

Do you have a cookie, sir? Yes? Well, that's all right, then.

Also.

From notes about the breed:

"Their friendly, all-accepting personality makes them poor candidates for guarding."
