I'd barely begun to recover from that, when I saw

duriyah's post and linky-link to some marvelous person's story about their day with the dog: I Has Sweet Potato. (The writer,

Tears. Rolling down my face. I may be hemorraging with suppressed laughter. For the love of all that is holy, keep me away from pet stores and adoption shelters.

That's it, folks. Completely incapable of generating any original thought today whatsoever. I may be sitting at my desk for the next 90 minutes, but my left brain has left the building. :)

If I can't manage to write like this person -- which I'd give my left nut for, had I one to give -- then I will have to settle for reading. It strikes me as not at all odd that I enjoy reading stuff that people write about slash, though I have not ever read the actual slash. Hell, I seldom know the source material they're talking about. Do I care? No suh. (shrug)

Special note for fionnabhar: A bit down the entry page, there's a reference to Redford/Newman slash. It's billed as what *should* have happened after "The Sting." Love you.
