in which a line is crossed
Jan. 29th, 2007 09:21 amAh, vanity!
I went to purchase some new foundation this weekend. I don't tend to wear much make-up at all, nor do I wear it all the time, but I like to have some foundation to generally smooth out blotchiness (yay freckles) and do some minor cover-up. I like to look nicely put together when I do make the effort.
Typically, I use the stuff that made claims of oil reduction or whatever -- clean & clear kind of stuff. But this time? This time, I went for something that had "radiance" in the product name.
Yeah.
It's still Cover Girl -- I didn't go for the Olay Regenerist stuff, or the pricy brands that promise to plump up wrinkles...gotta hold something back for later, you know -- but I finally crossed over into wanting something that had moisture and skin nourishment higher up in the hierarchy of benefits. And guess what? It feels very nice. And I feel pretty today.

Blotchiness?

Re: Blotchiness?
Date: 2007-01-29 05:43 pm (UTC)And thank you. :)
Sorry 'bout not remembering to friend you back. Need to pay better attention to that. Fixing now. You know, since you slatherd on the compliments.

You have left me a minefield in which to attempt a reply.
Date: 2007-01-29 07:27 pm (UTC)It was just a bit spendy for me that day. If it'd been a payday Friday, who knows? (smile) As it was, the estrogen surge only took me so far.

Date: 2007-01-29 08:21 pm (UTC)And I've started using the heavy artillery, too. The Retinol Creams with Beta-Hydroxy Acids! That's why I've been looking like I'm sixteen recently. *snerk*

Date: 2007-01-29 08:39 pm (UTC)And I'm worth it. Or...er, something.
