Dad's coming! If his flight hadn't been delayed, he would have been knocking on the door at midnight. As it is, he'll be here sometime tomorrow afternoon and they'll be staying until Tuesday (with the help of a hotel)...because they're househunting on Monday. Eep.

So. Jennifer -- it'll be superfun if you can stop by Sunday afternoon and chat with him about teaching. He's the chair of his ESE (special ed) department in Tampa, having taught special ed in inner-city Providence for a few years. I don't think he's got any illusions about retiring in ease. :)

Mongo kudos to C and R, who's uber-sparkly "good luck" card still has Fiona bouncing with joy. Talk to y'all later.

Eep. I've only just remembered that the reason we can't make the party is because of the girls' recital. Never mind the KidSpace meeting I also planned for the same time.

Gods, I need a new brain for Yule. Mondo SRSLY. I'm starting to toy with the idea of bagging Gaia myself for the day. It seeming very, very stressful all of a sudden. I'll talk to David and make a plan.

Yeah, and while it sank in that I couldn't be at the party and at the recital at the same time, it failed to occur to me that I couldn't be at the recital and at KidSpace at the same time. It's like all my alternate universes converged or something, and my brain exploded.

That happens to me, too. And it's so hard to explain when I finally do put it all together but it's too close to when everything is supposed to happen and I don't know what to do because I really want to be everywhere I'm supposed to be!
