Soothing and enjoying myself in the most Cancerian of ways today: by being a homebody! And how.

While agrnmn is off being big and burly for starwyse for a few hours, I'm hoping to whip through my Saturday morning routine and a couple of other basic housekeeping chores. (He's got a busy day out of the house and work later.) Then, I get to move on to home improvement again! Shifting back and forth between task lists ought to allow me to choose what will jive with my energy level at any given time, without really feeling overburdened. I think it also includes plenty of ways for the kids to be involved, to balance out the stuff I'll be doing on my onw.
I'm wondering if I'll get out to the garden today or not. Maybe that'll be next weekend. Some of this other stuff is on deadline...some of it can carry over to another day without much heartache. Once I finish list-making, then I can have PB pick a certain number of them to do -- perhaps one from each category, or five total for the day. We'll see. Heck, I haven't even had coffee yet! What a beautiful, beautiful day.

standard morning routine, then...
clean downstairs bathroom
strip beds
remake beds
breakfast dishes
grocery list
grocery shopping
stove burner pans
pick up trash from back yard and porch
borrow a vacuum cleaner??
vacuum

clear off desk
15 minutes of shredding
charge up Palm
finish configuring laptop settings
acquire Nikon-fu, download pictures
move filing cabinet upstairs??

Crafting
try new teddy bear leotard pattern on machine
choose an approach for gambeson
cut and baste gambeson??
put up Halloween decorations!!
find knitting pattern for tessellating fish afghan, OR
start learning how to crochet a goddam granny square

Home Improvement
wait patiently for agrnmn to sand walls in upstairs bathroom
sand woodwork too
clean dust off walls, woodwork and general bathroom surfaces
tape off tile, etc.
prime the walls
watch paint dry
remove light fixtures
first coat of paint on walls??
