I really dig these fake-o nails. Yeah, they're not applied real well and the polish is schmeary in places and they're impractically long for my life. But damn, I like 'em. (sigh)

That's all for now. Don't expect anything profound from me today. ;)

I think it's been a tradition for me to hook up at least one of the gods each year... except for the year when I went with $10 and some canned goods, and somehow spent over $120. ::eyeroll:: The rings were much easier for me to budget. 8-)

I look forward to pics. Especially since I might want to copy Yale's jerkin.

But by loaning us the sword, you pretty much hedged your bets there. We appreciated your stand-in for Tethra's magic sword, by the way. You have a very, erm, large weapon there, sir.

It's not the size of one's sword, but the skill in using it that counts.

Given that I practice weekly with very talented people, I am working this from both angles. I intend to leave people unable to breathe when struck repeatedly with my weapon.

8-)

An overrated sentiment, sometimes. I was scared to touch the damn thing, it was that big.

I intend to leave people unable to breathe when struck repeatedly with my weapon.

I have no doubt you can. Wait . . . are you sure we're talking about the same thing here? :-)

You're not the first to make such a claim...

are you sure we're talking about the same thing here?

You know, I was going to end the last comment with "let the games commence", but I wasn't sure if I was up for a double entendre thread. Now that I'm through my morning routine, I am happy to engage with such a worthy opponent/partner in literary vice. 8-)

Granted, you have much more experience with the literary part... but I prefer my partners to have more experience, it's so much better that way. ::grin::

All I know is that sitting through RfB and watching [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris polish your weapon about did me in.

Ok, that is a little overly homo-erotic there... but hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

I would dare point out that the god's minion should have been polishing the sword for him, but as I don't know who that was I really don't want to get deeper into -that- innuendo. 8-)

That would be me, sir. But I was seanachaidh, not squire.

Come to think on it, he polished up [livejournal.com profile] triadruid's spear, too. Busy boy. I just admired from across the room.

Besides, I had to pay more attention to the chain than the weapons.

I missed the chain reference, and it doesn't fall well into the innuendo thread, unless you are much more kinky than I had originally given you credit for.

Come to think of it, a southern belle S&M scene sounds pretty cool.

Oh, you missed the part where he and I were chained together from my ear to his mouth? You did miss all the fun, then!

Wow, if you were wearing a bodice AND bonded... that is some hot TILF imagery there.

To say nothing of adding demure gestures to an overly naughty innuendo thread. At least until you had [livejournal.com profile] niveus_tigris polishing my sword. Granted, he is one of the people I would trust most, in one entendre, but I didn't need that on the other entendre.

Hrm, can you refer to double entendres in the singluar form like that? Or are they entendrii?

No bodice. We went with Iron Age Ireland, so it was a leine and brat. But we had sixteen feet of chain, if that helps.

::gigglesnort::

Entendre--French for "to hear". It's a verb.

Double entendre, then, means to hear two things at once.

Overly naughty? What have you been talking about, sir? :-)

*smiles demurely*
