Heaven help me. Peonies.

They're everywhere -- in my neighborhood, along the trails where I walk, and even on ursulav's journal. And I love them so. My adoration of their PINKNESS and their scent and the amazing ruffulous petals is so unbearably romantic. Much to my husband's dismay, I want to fill my garden with all sorts of floweriness: peonies (no! double peonies!)...hydrangeas...even daisies...you name it.

Somebody bring me my floppy hat and a pair of polka-dotted garden gloves. I am undone.

I also love peonies. Next year, when I have more money (right) I will get a whole bunch of pink peonies for the yard. Until then, I will enjoy them in other people's yards, and stop and smell them. They smell so wonderful.
