A little cheer for myself.

I just realized a couple of magnificent things --

1. Over the last few weeks, I've had a couple of bouts with sniffles and coughs. Neither of them deteriorated into bronchitis (like, the first time in a couple of years, I think).

2. The last time I had to take my migraine "intervention" medication was at Thanksgiving. Although I'm pretty sure I've taken something OTC for a minor headache since then, I honestly can't pinpoint when the most recent time was.

Small changes are beginning to have some small effect. Time to begin making a few more, now.

Randomness

I really love Milky Way Midnight candy bars, especially the bite-size ones that freeze nicely. This is why I'm wearing the spacious velvet happy pants at work today. ::sigh:: Ah, indulgence. Why not excess?

My office is now decorated with a lot of holiday stuff in high-quality fake faux evergreen, white lights, glittery fruit-like items and purple ribbons. I find that, in unguarded moments, I think it's pretty -- but then I remember that I'm scornful of such corporate finery.

Even though I'm apparently spending a lot of time on LJ and online generally, I'm getting more done at work than usual...and a lot more at home, too. When I'm in high gear, I'm in high gear all over the place. Amazing the amount of energy and productivity one enjoys with just a few consecutive nights of decent sleep.

Shopped online with kittenpants last night -- and, in a follow-up phone call today, a friendly customer service person said to me, "Oh, you're with Nine Fires Press, right?" I actually giggled! Go, us!
