makin' progress

It's early December and so far I'm pleased with what we've spent our time and energy on, in terms of holiday traditions and preparations. This past weekend, we put up the tree and set out most of the holiday decorating. There were lots of great conversations about what everyone loved most and wanted to contribute. The kids seemed to feel like they got to participate and I got to feel like I wasn't doing all the work. WIN.

Brave Diermuid started getting lights up along the roofline, with the not-scared-at-all-of-heights assistance of Fiona Pie. I think they're going to look nice!

And this evening I finished up the second treat for the "treat assortment" we'll be using as gifts for neighbors and families of friends with families, etc. Chocolate-covered pretzels! Very easy, very yummy.

I also finished up one of the six legwarmers I'll be crocheting. Learning how to knit in the round (with or without circular needles) was giving me fits, so I'll save that personal merit badge until after the holiday and just crochet those suckers instead.

But I'm not sure how much longer I'll be awake tonight. :)

That could work! Let me get through a couple more sets and you can see what they look like. I'm hoping they won't look like Molly Weasley made them, if you know what I mean. ;)
