No shooting things up at the Bullet Hole tonight. My man iron_clad has to work late, and it'd be unfaithful to go without him. Plus, the plague has banjaxed the first night I'd get to go to my very first Book Cabal ever. We'll have to find trouble fun someplace else.

On the plus side, I entertained many people on the commute to work with my car-boogie rendition of Scissor Sisters "Take Your Mama." It was a glorious thing. Need to go dancing soon.

P.S. I have a great deal of work to do on Nine Fires Press stuff this weekend. Is a local person perhaps available to babysit for a few hours on Saturday (for pay or barter) -- like, noon to 4 p.m. or so? Please do not divert resources from helping chaosdruid and niveus_tigris. I can put in some hours after the girls go to bed if necessary; just thought it might be wacky fun to work in *daylight* hours.

Bulletin to kittenpants: we need to talk. After last night's class, my paradigms hurt. :)

Most any kind of dancings, 'cept the kind where one sort of stands shoulder-to-shoulder in a crowd and bobs one's head. I hate that.

Unlike many club-goers, I don't wear fancy heels or overly snazzy clothing when I go dancing. I also won't drink alcohol (much). Nothing can be allowed to mess wit' Da Groove.

I say this with all sorts of arrogance, but can't really recall the last time I've "gone dancing." It's just not something most of my social circle does; and when they do, I can't get a babysitter.

Baby sitting...? I'm up for something completely different after clients tomorrow but that's not until 12:30. How do they respond to total strangers? Or, perhaps the better question is...how do total strangers respond to them :)

Hm. That's an idea.

They are fairly social kids, much more extroverted than I am. After lunchtime would be swell. The two-year-old would go down for her nap by about 1 p.m. (give or take), leaving you with Princess !Kaboom -- who is vastly entertaining -- and Princess Boredom, who might be hanging out with her own friends anyway. The weather is supposed to be nice, and there are quite a few parks nearby.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Princess !Kaboom would have you in stitches.

I'd love to provide a place to deposit Princess B., but La Greca has a sleepover/birthday party thing. She's not sure she wants to go, so if that changes significantly, I'll send up a flare.

Don't sweat it. She's got a school friend spending the night tonight, so perhaps a swap can be made there for Saturday. Princess Boredom isn't nearly as much bother as the little ones...but she's not quite old enough to manage them for very long on her own.

Terry is a depraved lech, a blind man with a Microsoft certification and a traitor to his race, on account of dating a hot redhead. We try not to hold those things against him, though, as he's screamingly funny, loyal to the end, and has more life experience in his left foot than I have managed to accumulate thus far. Also, he's a depraved lech, which we rather tend to like. :)

Unfortunately he no longer lives here in KC, as he's managed to purchase a home which closely resembles Tara in the middle of Kansas, and thus is trying to become their first African-American city councilperson, in addition to having recently become their first African-American resident, possibly.

And he's screamingly funny. And dating a redhead. What's not to love? :)

It's Friday, my boss is out of town (not that that makes a difference to IT's monitoring of our Internet usage), I'm practically caught up at work (except for the massive database overhaul), the weather is nice, I spoke out in public (and lived!) last night, and just now I got to have tasty red beans & rice.

So yeah, maybe. :)

too bad i didn't see this until today i would have loved to watch the girls again. i had plans though so i wouldn't have been able to. some times it takes me awhile to get online so in a pinch please call me and ask me to watch the girls. i don't mind. although i may not always be available, if i am i would love to!
