Has it really been almost six weeks since I went back to work? I've gotta say, the rest of the household has adjusted magnificently. Even on crazy mornings like today, the kids are clearly leveling up in terms of self-propulsion compared to earlier in the year.
KiraDeara is *so* ready to have the elementary school to herself, after FionaPie moves up to middle school. The two of them get excited about everything they don't have to share these days. I'm pretty sure F is counting the days until PB moves out so she can have her own room. Fortunately, PB is being a good sport about this.
Anyway. I think my energy levels are finally adjusting, though last night was a killer. I swear, I was so tired I cried at bedtime. There really wasn't a moment to sit down or just *stop* from the second I walked in the door after work until I climbed into bed. Trying to get to bed a bit earlier might help, but there's really only a possible margin of improvement of about 15-20 minutes. No more trouble with insomia, that's for sure!
I did manage to get outside for a bit of a sunshiney walk yesterday, lunchtime-ish. That was great. It felt healthy to be moving instead of not-moving and I'm sure the sunlight did me some good. Going to do that again today. Push-ups and perhaps some yoga this evening, but no TKD. My foot needs a night off! Weird how I can still feel the weakness in that foot, and the stiffness in my gait when I try to stretch my stride. Working back slowly.
I'm really looking forward to summertime, when fewer children will be around the house full time. I love them all, but MAN do they eat...and need things...and do stuff that requires transportation. Funny. I used to think having three kids was difficult; now, having three kids is something of a night off!
