I like to watch TV episodes on NetFlix -- usually stuff that's not currently running. Sometimes I'll follow a favorite actor from one series to another, but mostly I lack imagination. Since "Bones" hasn't posted Season 7 yet, I've been getting desperate. I followed Simon Baker back about 10 years to another series, "The Guardian." He's much younger in this one, but not nearly so rumpled. And there's no smiling. Nearly every episode makes me cry. That's no good.

Then I started to consider all the folks I read who post slash. I'm not 100% interested in slash so much, but I wondered about the original shows that *inspired* the stories. Put on "White Collar" tonight, back at Episode 1, Season 1. SO WORTH IT. Very smart, very smooth stuff. I'm likin' it. Sort of like a teeny, tiny version of Ocean's Eleven.

After this, I could try "Due South." No stopping me now!

I like Callum Keith Rennie a whole lot in "Battlestar Galactica," so it'll be cool to see him as another character.

Unfortunately, you have to wait until season 3 to see CKR, but it's worth the wait. And the development of Benton Fraser's character with Ray #1 is crucial to what makes it possible for him to have the relationship that he does with Ray #2.

Got it. I'll have to get through White Collar first -- and, man, even in Episode 1 it's totally clear why slash happened -- but Due South is next. :)

Ha! I totally have you to thank for how thoroughly teen stepdaughter's mind was SHATTERED when I made a joke about John's Red Pants at the dinner table. Girl could not believe I would know anything about that. She's still all a-goggle. For that little moment of twisted connection, I thank you (and fandom).

ETA: Okay, the thumbs-up at 1:03 is perfect.
