It sucked that the weather turned yucky, which meant soccer games were called off, because Kira Deara was all, aw, DISAPPOINT. But that meant another 25 minutes of sleep and then we were off to watch Fiona Pie in the KS state TKD tourney today. She competed in the "forms" division only, since we didn't have sparring equipment for her yet (and she didn't yet have a lot of practice with sparring either). There weren't many girls in her division or belt level, but she still kicked butt and took home a gold. She was very pleased...in particular, she was pleased that it was less perilous than gymnastics. :)

This afternoon, we did a lot of housekeeping upstairs. Kira Deara wanted to rearrange her room a bit, so we cleaned and rearranged up there; I cleaned the upstairs bathroom top to bottom (ew); and vacuumed the landing and the stairs. OOF. Haven't really had a confluence of time and energy sufficient for that kind of detail cleaning for a while, so it was good to get it done. Now, it's movie time for a little while and then Kira Deara gets to visit a friend's house for "taco night" and an overnight. Thank goodness...little girl has been desperate for some play time with her buddies!

Oh. And Rowie made chocolate chip cookies. YUM. Later, there will be cube steaks broiled with bleu cheese, maybe some more movies, possible carpet cleaning, and then bedtime with no alarm to wake us up in the morning. YAY!
