I think I'm achieving a new level here at work. Got invited to go with the CEO and President Emeritus to visit a client who may leave us -- to the tune of more than a half million dollars worth of business. They have yet to fill me in on what exactly I'm supposed to do...although I have taken the opportunity to inform them that if they just want somebody to be in charge of pouring coffee or sitting quietly, then I'm not their girl.

The fun part of this (and there are so many fun parts) is that, while I've been wrangling for this sort of higher-level influence/access for a while, I find myself at the bottom of a completely different learning curve.

Bummer, that.

I suppose you're right. How will you ever become landed gentry while you're still young enough to enjoy it if I don't do this sort of thing, right?
