saffronhare: (OMG puppy)

I remember reading something about how cats keep looking for "the door to summer." They'll wheedle to go outside, and then -- when the open door shows that summer is NOT outside -- decide they don't want to go out after all. Or something like that.

Jack's wanting to find the door to summer as well. He keeps whining at the door to go outside. At this stage in the game, I hate to say NO to requests to go outside, you know? But we get out there and he's all, like, "Oh...it's wet out HERE, too. Drat."

Gah. Good thing I hadn't planned on getting much of anything done this evening, because he keeps wanting to go out every seven minutes or so. Puppy hope springs eternal, I suppose.

Ashe does that too. He gets very excited to go outside, we go out and then when he figures out it is wet and raining, I get "the look of Doom" from him. He doesn't like it when I laugh at him. Silly puppy.

He's not as prissy about the weather as he could be. Possibly, he's fussing because the girls aren't home yet. It's kind of driving me nuts.

I still say you guys get a few letter pans and plant a 'lawn' on the back porch. ;-)

No, I haven't. ::hangs head::

But I'm certain that's what my friend Patti was referencing when I first heard the description!

It's one of his less offensive stories. =D You should check it out. Plus, it's short.
