Yay, mammogram!
Oct. 17th, 2008 09:54 amHow is it that I had no idea October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month? Huh.
Anyway, this morning's boob-squishing was suprisingly pleasant. The mammography tech keeps a little heating pad on the machine plate, so it wasn't too cold...and she even let me look at the digital imaging as it came up on the screen! The detail was weird and amazing at the same time. She had a great sense of humor, too.
Now I can call my mother and tell her I've gone, so she can start nagging me for results instead of asking me all the time whether I've gotten it done. Mothers always worry, but it's nice to have a little variety, you know?

Date: 2008-10-17 06:33 pm (UTC)(shrug) I can't claim to have *researched* it at all...just got lucky with where my insurance worked and where I lived at the time. I've been there for three screening mammograms. Every time, the plates have been warmed and overall it's been relatively pleasant (as such things go).
