Blood & Fun at the Homestead
Jan. 14th, 2004 08:32 amMuch fun was had last night at our impromptu "scrape-the-bejeesus-out-of-Saff's-house" party. Thanks to
zylch, the crap craft hallway is about halfway scraped. It's fun to watch an archeologist discover layers of paint and wallpaper. The front hallway is all scraped and partly steamed; the stairs are almost ready for steaming.
There was also mac & cheese, and eldest daughter got to ask a lot of questions about the site picture
zylch is drafting...or whatever it was. In all, a marvelous and spontaneous evening. I was very pleased. (It's not like we have enough tools and space to keep more than a few people occupied anyway.) Next time: add German music!
Note to self: Light a candle and make an actual offering to Sekhmet real soon, or she's gonna keep taking bites out of your flesh with putty knives. The one from yesterday was darn close to needing stitches.
