Picture Project. Eek.
Apr. 24th, 2008 10:18 amI've started to do some more freelancing work these days. It's cool, not just because of the variety and profitability of the work, but also because one of my clients is kind of...er, my pimp. (?) See, this client provides professional support services for their clients, and now they want to start offering copywriting (through me, as a subcontractor). It's good work at a solid rate, and it means a bit less pounding the pavement in marketing myself for myself. Yay!
Anyway. One of the things I do is write an article for the monthly newsletter they send to clients. It's sort of my debut, I guess. Of all the things they've asked me to do, the most duanting one is this: Provide a picture of yourself, to go with the article and your bio.
OMG. A picture? So I'm going to be in search of a pleasant and professional head-shot kind of picture, appropriate for attachment to an online newsletter article. (Probably about userpic size.) I'm told that a line drawing of a smiley face will not be quite the right thing.
Ugh. I'm not looking for a photo shoot, but I will probably be making an effort NOT to dodge people taking my picture in the near future...as long as you'll send it to me if it comes out okay.
