In other news, we had a pretty great weekend: There was shopping for princessboredom; Build-a-Bear fun for the littler princesses; and new treats/training for the Dingo (who is showing cat-like proficiency in getting under my feet today). How does an 80-pound dog get underfoot? I ask you.

Particularly fun moments included:

~ PB returning from her shopping trip to show me she'd bought Birkenstocks. Ha! Yes, honey. I know they're comfy. This, after she encouraged me to change out of my saggy-baggy jeans. ::sigh::

~ Snuggly, er, snuggling with Princess Pixie, while she explained to me in astonishing detail why the toy phone we'd gotten from B-a-B was NOT the same as a REAL cell phone. Even though it's prettier.

~ Watching Princess !Kaboom in action at her gymnastics meet, which was late enough in the day that the roads were clear and try when we drove out. YAY. Wow, does she ever love this sport. And on the way home, she LOVED reading the text messages from PB, Auntie Caroline, and Daddy (who are charter subscribers to the Instant Sports Update Network). She won ever darn event and the all-around in her age division -- second place was nearly 3.5 points behind -- but the REAL glory was winning the handstand contest. Heh.

Anyway. Takin' it easy today. Drinkin' my tea and trying hard not to think too much about how much time it's taking other folks to recover from this thing which will not be named. I even had a flu shot! Ah, well.

*The illness, being a matter of science, does not care that I don't believe in it. Fook.

From what I can tell, this is a much milder version than many folks are experiencing (knock on wood). Feeling some better today, but it's still taking me about 87 times longer to get anything done. Ugh. :)
