Almost embarrassed to admit, but... I really, really loved the Preacher comic books. They are really twisted. There's an excellent bit in them about how Jesus had children, and a secret group was in charge of protecting the purity of the bloodline... well, the end result of 2000 years of inbreeding... it's not pretty.
