No, really. We had so much fun with my root canal this afternoon that we went ahead and did a second one, just for giggles. (Well, I *was* on nitrous. That is some good shit.)

The plan to come back to work afterwards was maybe not so clever. Not really sore (yet), but not really HERE. Also, I cannot feel my eyebrows.

In other news, Rob Brezny squishes my fun.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): During the heyday of samurai culture, the
Japanese word *tsuji-giri* meant "to try out a new sword on a passer-by."
After analyzing your astrological omens, Cancerian, I'm appealing to you
not to commit the metaphorical equivalent of that in the coming week.
Here's what I mean: You've got good reasons to use the metaphorical
equivalent of a new sword, and you will wreak some constructive havoc if
you direct your warrior attitude at the right targets. But if, on the other
hand, you carelessly slice and dice passers-by and other innocents who
don't deserve it, you'll waste that valuable resource and won't correct the
problems that have piqued your sense of injustice.

Glad it went well. I was a little worried about how it might go. Now that it's over, I can share the horror story I never told you because I didn't want to skeer you. Won't that be fun?

Please to only share while I still have the good drugs in my system. Seems like I've still got a few days of soreness and healing before I can put the root canal merit badge.

Let me just ask then.

Do they anticipate having go in a second time for nerve tags, or do they think they got it all?

There was no mention of nerve tags at all. Just telling me to go easy for a few days and then set up an appointment in a couple of weeks for the crowns. They did some follow-up x-rays while I was still there.

Pfft. :-)

Excellent. And actually, with no nerve remaining, the tooth itself can't possibly hurt. You'll mostly have some soreness from the injection sites. Hope your recovery is minimal.

I pray for boredom, yes. Thank you.

Didn't mean to affright you there. (My situation is that I'm extremely resistant to the whatevercaine, and it took about three visits for each tooth to get the point where you are now, ready for the crowns. Healing-wise, the root canals themselves went, erm, splendidly, as these things go.)

Glad they were able to get in and get out and be done. I recommend soft serve ice cream for supper.

I'm rolling some oatmeal around in my mouth for now, and calling that "eating." Later: Tapioca!

The main thing is to be careful you don't accidentally bite your tongue or the inside of your cheek! Not that it'll hurt. Right away.
