We're in the final few days before the house goes onto the market. In my world, that means I decide right about now what tasks will be discarded or postponed, because I think sanity is perhaps more important than whether the fireplace gets scrubbed out. Time to let the funnel start getting narrower, so I can get where I'm going instead of spinning in place.

I know we've got some leeway on picture day, because she can choose her angles and we can sort of move things around as we go and only post the stuff that's ready for public viewing. And we can't possibly have everything perfect before people start looking at it, so some stuff will wait until there's time/money, or it'll just not get done. Have to let it go and continue to function, you know?

This week is mostly about maintenance cleaning and setting morning/bedtime habits, which we started working on in earnest yesterday. Just about everything that's going to the storage unit is already there. And that's good...because hardly anything else will fit, though we may beg and borrow a bit of garage/basement space from some folks in the near future. ::bats eyelashes::

Stuff Remaining to Do Before Saturday

1. Sweep, vacuum, wash floors -- This doesn't take long, but it'll have to be done at least once a week. Sweeping and vacuuming done; stairs washed. I'll damp-mop the other downstairs floors on Friday.
2. Clean out the fridge -- Not that anybody will look here, but it really needs to be done.
3. General bathroom scrubbing -- This will need to be done about once a week (which we already do), along with daily swiping of sinks. Might look for a coupon for that shower cleaner thing that hangs in there and just automatically does the work. If I can get one cheap, that might save me a lot of elbow grease. Done.
4. Get crap out of the basement -- Need to take care of this Thursday, if at all possible, because Friday is trash day.
5. Get crap out of the yard -- There's a bunch of stuff in corners, around the edges, and in the shed that can be trashed. Want to get this stuff out in Friday morning's garbage.
6. Wash kitchen windows -- Except for the floor and the fridge, this is the last big task for the kitchen.

Stuff That Can Be Done Saturday

1. Dusting -- We'll probably do this first thing Saturday morning, but it doesn't make sense to do it much before then.
2. Epoxy in basement -- This got about halfway done last weekend, so we need to finish it up this weekend. It's possible we'll run out of epoxy before we finish the task, but it might work out just about perfectly. (fingers crossed)
3. Yard work -- A very specific shout for help: Really, really, really need to rake and mow and put down mulch. I despair. If anyone can recommend a good yard crew, I'd appreciate it. Very much need to delegate this task, even if it means paying somebody to do it. Mums in the ground would provide a bit of color too, but I'm less worried about that than general tidiness. Gonna call this done, since somebody has been engaged to do it.

Stuff that Can Be Done Later (or not at all, depending)
1. Paint kitchen ceiling
2. Paint master bedroom ceiling
3. Paint basement walls
