Over at chalice_circle, a community of Unitarian Universalists, scarcrest has something interesting to say about the passing of Reverend Jerry Falwell.

I happen to agree. It does my soul no harm to offer a prayer for his passing, for those who will miss him, and to send along to whomever might be listening a devout wish that his soul will make different choices the next time 'round. I just keep remembering how Lama Chuck said: In some long-forgotten lifetime, he was my mother.

Or...er, pants. (smile)

One can only hope that he is in the arms of the god he loves and that they are enjoying each other's company immensely.

And dear heavens, may I have the same some day.

I can't say that I'll miss the man, but I have a hard time wanting to celebrate his passing. I guess it's different strokes for different folks.
