doom!

Triple doom today, even. Which clearly makes it all druidy and stuff. :)

1. New coffeemaker set-up in the office kitchen makes Much Better Coffee than before. This means I no longer have Awful Coffee to repel me, and prevent the ingestion of more caffeine than I should have. My first cup is gone already and I wants some more, yes I does.

2. Today, it is apparent that the "shelf bra" support in a tank top is no longer sufficient. And most of my other bras are really quite ready for retirement. At least that means I get to do some bra shopping. Eventually.

3. I managed to color my hair last night...finally. How long have I been meaning to do it? Like, six months or more? It looks pretty darn good -- not a big change in color, just close to a match of my natural color and a covering of grey hair. Except now my eyebrows look very strange indeed. Upon closer examination, I observed grey hair in my eyebrows. Sooper.

If these are the most doomful things that occur today, I will be very happy.

UPDATE: I have a serious brain-crush on [livejournal.com profile] ebonypearl.

BONUS UPDATE:

Just got back from a little trip to Princess !Kaboom's school. See, they do this thing every month, where a student from each classroom is voted by their classmates to be an example of a particular postive quality. Then, the "student of the month," along with other students of the month from other classrooms, get to be the center of attention at a Very Special Assembly. There are no certificates of achievement. Nope. There's a car dealership next door, see, and the dealership brings big-effoff-shiny cars, which the kids get to ride in. It's a very glamorous event (as such things go for elementary schools), with the whole student body gathered outside and the kids waving from -- in this instance -- a HUGE RED H3. There is honking and screaming and picture-taking galore. And then they all go back to class.

I felt pretty conflicted about the H3 thing, but man...I was there, takin' pictures like a fool. She was so very pleased with herself. And yes, she does appear to be the smallest kid in the school, though I don't think KYOOT was the virtue of the month. (sigh)
