I just got an email from the friendly people at the Breast Cancer 3-Day. As it turns out, they won't be coming back to Kansas City in 2007. So you can stop asking me if I'll be doing it again next year. The answer is no. (sigh) Still, it looks like a pretty awesome line-up of cities and dates, so if you're not from the KC area, perhaps the Pink Storm will sweep you up elsewhere. I *do* have some nifty pictures, so I'll get those uploaded for your viewing pleasure Any Day Now. :)

Date: 2006-10-18 11:04 am (UTC)They've probably also gotten the feedback surveys at least partially analyzed by now, and my impression was that a lot of the people walking (not all, by any means, but certainly a good percentage) were extremely frustrated by the way the evacuation plan was enacted. If they were sufficiently put off to say 'No, I don't want to participate again,' then the organizers may reckon that there won't be enough support to pull another one off in KC. Word-of-mouth advertizing is critical, and negative word of mouth goes faster and futher than positive.
