I am cranky today. The mood is not passing on its own. For better or worse -- depending on your perspective -- I seem to be nursing it along and enjoying it in a perverse way. This is not good for me. And it isn't particularly evolved behavior, but there you go.

I'm looking forward to a weekend with plenty of opportunities to blow off steam in safe company, allow myself to be cheered, or both. In the meantime? Well...

featherynscale suggests in my LJ bio that I should have a warning sign about being kept a safe distance from the second drinks and scatter-brained people. This would be a very, very good day for that sign.
