Miz Gadd gave me a B!
May. 2nd, 2006 02:29 pmI can't believe it. I totally deserved an A.

Here's a game I'm playing with
fionnabhar, among others. There are a couple of B words I'm leaving out on purpose, because I think they lack imagination.
How it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
Brusque: Hey, I'm a Yankee. It's not about you, it's about how I prefer not to waste much time on niceties. I consider it rude to do anything but get right down to business.
Brunette: I very much like my dark brown hair and I think it works for me. I've been most pleased with hair coloring that plays with a range of browns, rather than reds or any other shade.
Butch: Never been an ingenue of any sort. Like the brunette thing, the butch look works pretty well for me most of the time, though I enjoy being able to switch it up once in a while. I'll never forget the time I showed up at work (in St. Paul) with a new short haircut wearing jeans, cowboy boots and a teeny t-shirt under a blazer. Legend has it that dykes for miles around were brought to their knees. I liked that. :)
Balderdash: A fun word, and also one of the few games I'll play.
Bare-handed: This is how I engage most situations in my life, with as few layers between me and the work as possible. It applies not only to fighting, but to cooking (without electrical gadgets) and divination (placing few layers between myself and the message). It's led to some bruising, but it'd generally worth the cost.
Bawdy: Very nearly my most favoritist kind of humor, though it makes me blush to a shameful degree.
Beginner: There's very little about zen that I grok, but the concept of "beginner's mind" -- and the effort of maintaining such a mindset -- is a real influence in my life.
Brasserie: I miss these places a whole lot. Even as a kid, they were magical places to spend part of an afternoon -- with some good food and good company. (Not to be confused with a brassiere, which can also be a magical place.)
Boogie: I love dancing -- and will dance to more styles of music than I'd casually listen to, even. Love to lose myself (and find myself again) in the rhythm.
Blitzkrieg: Why just kill when you can overkill? Plus, it's German.
