more knot-tying

Work on the first Actual Crochet Project is coming along nicely. I'm halfway through the rows for the main part of the table runner. Since it looks like I won't need all the yarn I bought for it, one of those will be exchanged for the edge color(s) once I decide what I want. We bought four skeins to do 46 rows of 154 sc stitches each. The first skein ran out just before the end of row 22, which is where I learned how to transition to a new skein of yarn. (Whew.) Anyway, I may end it at 44 rows instead of 46 so as to avoid starting a new skein for just two or three rows, which would let me exchange two virgin skeins for the trim colors. On the other hand, it's a nice color and weight that I bet I'd use somewhere else.

I should probably find a better icon to use for crochet work, but this one amuses me greatly.

Um, sure.

I call it "Cordian Druid" -- as opposed to Discordian, but the rope dress is a fun play on words in so many ways.

Check the comments on the userpic, will you? I didn't create it, and I don't remember where I ran across it (though I'm certain it was gank-able).
