I'm trying to come up with clever responses for when people here at work ask me how I'm doing. "Fine" is inaccurate and lacks a certain imaginative punch. So far, I've got:

...like a three-legged dog in a pissing contest
...like a one-legged cowboy at and ass-kicking contest

That taps me out. Somebody help the Yankee snob come up with more?

And, speaking of hands, chernobylred has me considering my own. Hers seem fine and lovely. Mine are teeny tiny thug hands, which I sort of like. :)

A good Texas phrase is "like a big dog." It communicates effectively without meaning anything. You have to say it right, though.
