breathofgold, and we all know I've got a soft spot for her (neonatal pun not intended), so here goes.
List five things that get you excited/happy/enthusiastic about life, in no particular order. Then tag some folks to do it.
1. Catching the way
agrnmn looks at me when he doesn't think I'm watching, especially when he's a teensy bit drunk. Makes me feel...wow, I don't know how to express it. Like maybe I'm a wonderful person after all.
2. Bunnies. :)
3. A good night's sleep. Even better, two nights of uninterrupted sleep. Man, you should see how positive, energetic, and downright nice I get. Amazing, what relief from sleep deprivation can do for a person. Jump back!
4. Gardening. I know my garden is virtually non-existent right now, but there are few things more therapeutic for me than digging in the dirt, giving my weeds a talking-to and singing to my flowers (for the record, they think I sound Just Fine). Gardening is my life and the universe in microcosm. I do some of my best meditating there...floppy hat and all.
5. Jogging with Princess Boredom. This is both a new and rediscovered joy at the same time. I've only recently lost enough weight that it's safe for me to go running again -- so that's pretty cool. Running is a long-time love of mine, for fitness and general mental health. Last week, I invited to PB to go with me as I start over. It's easy for her as a novice and young person, but the unexpected benefit is how much talking we do. I'm floored by her questions and observations. No matter how I feel about it as fitness, it'll be really important to preserve this time together. I really need to hear these things from her, and she really needs to hear from me too. Zowie.
Naturally, there's a lot more than this. I'm randomly tagging just a few people, from different circles of friends...we'll see who runs with it. (Please to forgive if you're the sort of person who resents being tagged.)
