Poppy Camp Dispatch

I just spoke with the Poppy Camp contingent and all is well. It seems Princess !Kaboom! was the hit of the airport -- they even took her picture at security. No, not for scary invasion-of-privacy reasons. When she came up to the security checkpoint, she put her little white patent-leather purse and her new flower sandals in a bin, and then stood quietly with her hands folded in front of her and waited to be waved through. They were so impressed with her cooperation and good humor that they snapped a picture and said that if everybody could just do that, then their jobs would be so much more pleasant. (No squishing my Proud Mama Moment with commentary about her being right on track to be a conformist, now.)

Then, the weather delayed their flight about an hour, during which she introduced herself and Nonny to everybody at the gate and became the official Bringer of Items to the Trash (taking requests to do it while skipping or walking backwards or whatever). The weather also made take-off very turbulent. While the rest of the passengers were a bit white-knuckled, Nonny reported that Princess !Kaboom! thought it was the bestest ride evar.

She is now swimming in the pool, and making her grandfather very nervous by swimming underwater a lot more than he would have thought reasonable.

Princess Sticky seems to be doing Just Fine as an only child, though Marley may go gray from the stress of being her default playmate. The only moment of distress so far was yesterday, when she was held back from going out the door when her sister went out to the car. We'll see how it goes.

Most excellent. I'm thrilled that she performed in the style to which we have become accumstomed.

So how is Princess Boredom handling this incursion into what had previously been her private domain?

Princess Boredom is very protective of her sister, and has apparently been pining for her. They're even sharing a room. For now.
