The volume or pitch of a child's screeching is indirectly proportional to their distance from the nearest telephone conversation.

I didn't think Catwoman sucked that bad. Benjamin Bratt isn't choosing roles any smarter than Halle Berry, but they sure looked good getting naked together. Also, I, Robot was pretty enjoyable. My opinion probably has something to do with not having read much (if any) Asimov and the fact that I was groovin' on Will Smith's bod. The gratuitous nude shower scene was well-received.

Fencing isn't supposed to be an anaerobic experience. Plus, I'm getting slow and sloppy and my left boob hurts. Competence...is...slipping...!

Drumming in a waltz rhythm (ONE-two-three, ONE-two-three) Does Not Work.

Unlike her mother, the Coatl seems to prefer heights. The last two nights, she's finally succumbed to sleep on the landing at the top of the stairs -- like, with an arm or leg dangling perilously over the edge. Last night, we heard her come out of her room...but she was quiet and we were tired, so we let it be and eventually forgot about it. When [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn was getting himself together for work, I wondered out loud, "Is she still at the top of the stairs?" A chirpy little voice piped up, "No, she's ASLEEP at the top of the stairs!" They have an obscene amount of energy for little people who get up at 7:30 a.m. and don't nap.

Some nights, sleeping alone is much more restful. (Example: begging the husband to sleep on the couch due to snoring.) Other nights, it's the opposite. (Example: last night, when there were soft, clean sheets and everything. But brain in overdrive.)

Whenever I think I look good or look bad on any given day, there's at least a 50% chance that I'll be Wrong.

You make most excellent points. And having kids who like to jump in bed for family snuggles were definitely a big reason for the upgrade to king-size. I don't like to be touched when I'm sleeping. And, I tend to sprawl and gravitate toward the center (again with the fear of falling out). So a king-size means I can take my half out of the center and [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn still has some room.

Yes, I still manage to fall out of bed. Having the bed on the floor means less distance to impact. :)
