Okay, I don't mean "deep" as in "unfathomable depths" or anthing. This is like the deep end of the pool where your feet don't touch the bottom, but you can still see that it's there.

That said,
Cancer: "All human beings should try to learn what they are running from, and to, and why," said James Thurber. Judging from the astrological omens, Cancerian, I think this is the perfect time for you to take his advice very seriously. You're in position to see things that are normally invisible to you, including secrets you hide from yourself and truths you have studiously avoided knowing. Maybe you don't think you're telepathic, but I assure you that right now you at least have the power to read your own deep and mysterious mind.

I sure hope [livejournal.com profile] chaosdruid or [livejournal.com profile] agrnmn garner some wisdom from their cross-study of this one, so that maybe they'll share it with me.

This would have to fall in a period when my divinations are just crap. On the other hand, there were a few bunnies racing across my lawn when I got home last night. Maybe I need to stop holding still and just go, even if it means I have to change directions at top speed sometime soon. Bunnies are real good at that.

In recent weeks, I think I've gotten a pretty good look at much of what I'm running from -- if I can't name it all, at least I recognize most of it. But where I'm running to? That's a much trickier thing.

A wise, not to mention good-looking, woman once told me: "Stay low to the ground. Change speed and direction often." Sometimes the thing the 'enemy' least expects is for you to suddenly charge straight at it and jump over/under it before they can even corner on you. It's an adaptive strategy that builds on your ability to move with startling rapidity and enthusiastic force.

Of course, some other good-looking wise woman also told me "Sometimes to win, you have to be willing to inflict a little pain on yourself." I'll leave the interpretation of that one as an exercise for the reader, because I don't expect you to flinch at the sight of your own blood on this adventure.

How was class last night, speaking on a slightly-more-mundane level?

Well, I failed Italicization 101, but you get the idea.

"Serpentine, Shelly! Serpentine!"

(Bonus points if you recognize the source of this quote.)

Flattery and italicization aside, I *do* get it. Thank you.

I'm fully prepared to do that. The prospect of an enemy or collateral damage to myself aren't what's bothering right now -- figuring out my objective is.

What a waste of energy, to charge without having a clue about where I want to go...

Let me know when you figure out what the enemy is, darlin'...

The irony of that statement is not lost on me, sugar. I understand that the poking is intended kindly, but it isn't all that helpful right now. I'll let you know when I'm better able to handle witty banter about my neuroses, okay?

Just making sure you were aware; no harm intended to my favorite bunny.

Thanks, hon. No harm sensed. Just "speaking up" about a sore spot. Thanks. Really.
