To-Do List for Friday

Now that poop has happened for Princess !Kaboom (praise Jesus) and the morning routine is done, it's time to figure out what I want to get done today:

install latches on doors to Princess Boredom's room and the bathroom
move laundry along
get trash and recycling out to the curb
fluff patrol downstairs
sweep & quick-mop the kitchen floor
water plants
put away one box of holiday decorations
make a run to Goodwill -- move this to another day
make a run to the library (donate books) -- move this to another day
do some dishes
take a shower
take a nap
move all cleaning supplies downstairs
get old couch cushions outside
set up lunch meeting for Monday -- delegated
get Princess Boredom to do some cleaning in her room

Do congratulate Princess !Kaboom for me. And good luck with the room cleaning thing. In about a half hour, I'm going in with my figurative backhoe.

Slash and burn, baby!

Actually, her room isn't so bad. It's just her super-slo-mo approach to the whole thing. I use a timer with her: 5 minutes of real cleaning; 15 minutes of break time; 5 minutes of real cleaning; and so on. We concentrate on one "zone" at a time. Of course, it's early in the day, so I may lose patience at any time.

As it would happen, she met her deadline. It isn't quite as thorough as I would have done myself, but the goal was to get it to my satisfaction, not necessarily to my utter delirium.

This thread is making me nervous for the safety of my room...
