This morning, Princess Boredom asked me -- "Mom, are we really moving to the south of France?" Yeah, I said that last night. Then, a bit later, I wandered around on LJ to read some "friend of friend" posts and came across docwebster, whose words over the last twelve hours (give or take) reminded me of something else I said last night.

That if Kerry didn't win, I would start using some of my talent for manipulation of power to actually Do Good Work in politics. No, I'm not running for anything...but I will work to propel some worthy folks into power on any level I can. I used to do this shit for a living, and I still remember how. As a volunteer, I'm a party organizer's wet dream, man. As an organizer, I'm downright dangerous.*

You don't know me, docwebster, but I thank you for the reminder. I wish I knew how to link this puppy over to you...

*Hard to say which pronouncement made agrnmn more nervous, really.
