The Turner Chaos Parade is proud to announce the arrival of an exchange student for the weekend. Her name is Rollo, and she's an old lady yellow lab. Very sweet, a little stinky.

A co-worker of mine had her in this morning so he could bring her to the kennel over lunch. I was playing with her (like ya do) and he was telling me that he really didn't want to bring her to the kennel, that she always comes home sick but the friend that usually dog-sits wasn't available and they didn't really have a choice.

It occurs to me that this does not have to be so. I place a call to the ever-accommodating agrnmn and it's set -- Rollo will come visit the TCP for the weekend. The co-worker has even generously offered to pay us...more, if we bathe her.

Whee! I'm very pleased with this turn of events. We simply must start a home for wayward brown dogs.

You could foster them for Wayside Waifs or one of the other rescue groups. Then you could just have an endless procession of wayward brown dogs...

But that might end up breaking my heart. With the "boarding house" concept, we take them in...spoil them...and send them home (eventually). Wayside Waifs dogs actually still need a home.

Sort of undermines the "weekend with Crazy Aunt Nikki" effect for me.

The program is fine until Fractal slides our way. I figure he'll do great here but I'll have to draw the line at 3 dogs unless we get the clan retreat and the 500+ acres attached to it...then I'll be happy to start B.U.D. Breeding and Boarding. (Big Ugly Dogs...of course we'll take cute uber fluffy dogs too.)

Rollo is at the house now. The Battle Corgi didn't attack, although there was a lot of heralding. The Dingo was fascinated. Luckily, Rollo is bigger than the Dingo, so she was not particularly affected by the canine fangirl attention.

They were all being kicked out into the backyard so agrnmn could feed the human girls some lunch...and Princess !Kaboom wanted to go outside with them. Should be an entertaining weekend.

At least Rollo is not accustomed to sleeping on the bed. She looks so much like Logan -- and was so even-tempered coming into the TCP -- that it made me a little misty-eyed.

My day is immeasurably better now.

Remarkably like Logan despite being taller and female. As for the stink, if she sits near Marley she is Rose like.
