saffronhareI was heading to the vending machines to indulge in a few happy, sugary things when it occurred to me that I'd like to make an offering to Hermes.
This almost never occurs to me. I decided to take the Hint.
So, I left the dimes in the Coke machine after getting my drink (soda = $0.55). Apparently, a bit more was required. When I moved to the next machine to get a cherry pie, and then a Snickers bar (yes, I'm a junkie), the Snickers bar got irretrievably stuck in the machinery. I swear, I have never seen a candy bar get stuck in this particular spot. After some minutes, and broken plastic cutlery, I decided that perhaps Hermes had the munchies too. I left him his own, and got another Snickers bar for myself.
What a triumpant waste of time and nutrition.
