PB's dorm situation is such that she and three other girls share a "suite" that includes a little kitchen, and they're chatting about cooking. She's asked me to start compiling recipes for her -- just kind of sharing what we're cooking on a given night. Some of my favorite recipes don't stop at the ingredients and instructions, though...they're peppered with little notes like "boil the chicken for the chowder until it begs for mercy" and "use more garlic than you think you should."

So that's what I'm going to do: Tell the story of preparing the dish, and *include* the recipe with it.

I was full of fail at my 100 things this summer. And I'm apt to stay that way for the foreseeable future, it seems.

That's actually exactly how most of my recipes work--"make a little mountain of flour in the bowl; sprinkle baking powder over the top until you think 'tee-hee, I made it snow on the mountain'", or "add everything in the spice rack that smells like stew". I hate to think what would happen if I ever tried to write them down, fer chrissakes. lol

Yeah. Could be disastrous. I'm bumbling around on WordPress right now, accidentally posting everything I don't wanna post and not quite managing to post what I want. UGH. A lot like my cooking.

BuffaloTracts is in WP, so don't hesitate to give me a poke if you need a hand with beating it into submission (I mean, I know you're smart as hell, so you can certainly sort it out on your own; but sometimes it's easier just to skip straight to the answers in the back than trying to riddle out the solutions on your own, lol).

Mostly, I just had this *thing* I wanted to post, so I went ahead and started doing that. Not sure what else I want to do with it...just started moving. It's already bugging me that I don't know how to do...well, ANYTHING. Going to take advantage of the tutorials this afternoon.
