not enough een ze vorld

I would like all the naps to be mine, please. I got about 15 minutes into my interval workout yesterday before just giving up. That hasn't happened in...I don't know. A very very very long time. Maybe the combo of being really sick for a couple of days, followed by the whole heart palpitation thing, took more out of me than I know. Maybe I'm getting delicate in my old age? Eff a buncha dat.

I don't want to *stop* exercising altogether right now, because I know it creates a higher energy level overall. And I have people to keep up with at Fitocracy! At the same time, I think I need to keep it mild for a little while. Focusing on hydration, nutrition, and rest. Perhaps I can have a weekend or two coming up here when I don't feel like I need to RECOVER from it. Ha.

This evening, I will let the weather dictate my activity. If it's sunny, then I'll work in my garden and lay out some mulch. If it's raining, then I'll go to TKD. I think either choice is a win in it's own way.

I wish I could see what that picture is. :( I bet it's a heckuva lot more encouraging than a little box with a red X in it, but my imagination is having a great time with what you *might* have posted.

In other news, BLOOMERS arrived yesterday! There was much rejoicing. I put them on immediately and wore them around the house most of the evening. I am the envy of everyone else in the family. Thank you!

Click on it. The link should still work. =)

YAY FOR HAPPY BLOOMER TIME!

OMG. That was SO worth the click! Eldest daughter shares BroTips with me all the time. Her given name is Rowan, but her buddies call her "Browan." She's got it on a t-shirt and everything.

Browan. That is fucking awesome.

If you've been sick (especially bronchial), you stand a good chance of injuring something if you push back into exercising too hard. And you've got the foot thing going on... and, maybe you've said but what IS the deal with the heart palpitations? Don't play around with that shit, bunny.

I'm somewhat familiar with overdoing it. :) I would angle toward 'more days' than 'harder days'. Try not to skip unless your body is telling you it's a Bad Idea.

That's all good advice. :) I had the hurty foot, followed by the Revenge of Fu Manchu, followed by the palpitation stuff. It's a lot, when I think about it. And it was definitely a WHOA moment when I decided to stop yesterday's workout. I honestly couldn't tell you whether I'd run out of gas or GAS (as in give-a-shit).

Primary care doctor put me through a number of in-depth tests (some of them longer-term) that involved specialists and everything a couple of years ago, when the palpitations last flared up. My blood pressure is fine; there's no restriction in blood flow or any of that happening. She calls them "peril-sensitive" but otherwise harmless. They tend to occur when I'm not getting enough rest, when I'm drinking too much caffeine or consuming too many other stimulants (like sugar), not processing stress well, or some combination of the above.

So. YES. Lighter workouts are probably smart. Plus, getting tucked into bed with some Benadryl (or chamomile) nice and early. It's embarrassing to be so sensitive. :)
