katzenfrau's patchwork scarves, I decided to work with the girls to make some gifts for their friends. The fabric store had some very cuddly and adorable fleeces and flannels, so we mixed and matched, sewed some strips, and manifested blocks. (Always fun to demonstrate that rotary-cutting, assembly-line trick to somebody who's never seen it before.)
Fiona Pie got to learn how to do a straight stitch on the machine and helped with construction of the first two scarves; I took care of the remaining four after most of the other kids were in bed. It went very quickly and came out nicely enough that I sort of feel tempted to go get some more remnants and make MORE. Except the kids say they have plenty for their buddies now. So sad.
The picture is a little bit wonky, because I suck at pictures and it was my cell phone. But hey...schmooblies!
