Lots going on...too much to figure out what to talk about and what not to talk about, mostly just not knowing what folks are going to care about reading, you know? These days, the brain weasels tell me nobody's listening anymore anyway, so why bother.

::shaking self off::

We're into the last six weeks of the school year (give or take), with a Doppler effect of events and general stuff to get through. Lots of physical and emotional logistics to figure out, which includes letting some things go. Never easy, that, but still ultimately satisfying.

Crypic Nik is not being cryptic on purpose. It just seems like lots of things are connected across planes of reality these days. Makes me thinky. Most of it I'm looking forward to; some I'm dreading. Nothing to be done but make a plan and stick to it, right?

As the move gets closer, it might be nifty to recruit help from Friends with Larger Vehicles to move my furniture down to Gardner. I think we'll be accomplishing the move slowly, over a few weeks, so it might not make sense to rent a truck. Dunno yet. It sort of depends on whether folks are of a mind to help me move. As [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale once said, the way the Law of Return works in the real world is this: If people figure you're an asshole, then nobody will help you move. Or something like that. So that'll be interesting.

we have a minivan and though we aren't vogue enough to have the seats that hide in the floor, they do fold down so we can carry items such as twin beds, stand up dressers, boxes, etc. our willingness to help depends greatly on day/time needed...the husband is working a second job now so i may or may not be able to provide a strong back, but i can provide a driver and wheels to haul.
and take this how you want, but i only really get along with assholes...you've met my husband right?!

I'm glad of the offer -- thank you. When I figure out more about day/time, I'll give you a call. :)

We also have a mini-van. Though our schedule is more than a bit complex, I will do what I'm able to help accomplish things. Just let me know what the plan is.

No mini-van, but we got a couple cars and two people with gimpy backs. The two gimps, however, are the sort that will help you move even if you are an asshole. So there is that. :-)

Hobbits are useful too! They can crawl under desks and unplug things when the less-gimpy can't bend anymore. ;-)

It's possible that you're an asshole, though I don't consider you one. Either way, I'll do what I can as a non-large-car-having but also strong-young-knees-and-back-having friend, if that sort of help will also be useful.

Thank you. The nature of this move (happening over a few different weekends/weeks) makes it likely that we'll be able to take advantage of your help -- and give you beer -- at some point agreeable to your schedule. :)
